An independent dance-theatre work this week… from our own feature artist Cloe Fournier at Old 505

“Dining [Uns]-table is sobering, erratic and challenging.”

                                                                                                               Buzzcuts,  Adelaide Fringe

French born independent artist Cloé Fournier, will present her first major solo dance-theatre work, Dining [Uns]-Tableat the Old 505 Theatre in April. Her innovative work is featured in their inaugural subscription program as part of the Freshworks 2014 Season. For this piece, Cloé has been collaborating with composer and media artist Imogen Cranna.

After a season at the Bakehouse Theatre for the Adelaide Fringe 2012, Cloé has the pleasure to be presenting her major solo work, Dining [Uns]-Table, at the Old 505 Theatre, Sydney. A not-to-be-missed intimate, confronting and witty dance-theatre work from April 2nd to April 6th 2014.

In Dining [Uns]-Table, emerging choreographer Cloé Fournier, investigates failed familial relationships and the psychological effects they have on individuals long after. She performs a daughter who has been continually neglected and insulted by her father over time. In this self-divised work, she tries to reconcile past and present for, perhaps, a better future.

This performance, which cleverly mixes contemporary dance, theatre and media art, will take place at the Old 505 Theatre. As an audience member, you are invited to share a family story (perhaps your own) so be sure to book in advance to save your place at the table.
