SHH – BARAKA – Cult Cinema Nights – 6th FEB – with Kay Armstrong CHOREOGRAPHER
SHH Cult Cinema Nights one of greatest films of all time: BARAKA (1992)
A must see!
Joining us is Kay Armstrong an amazing CHOREOGRAPHER – who will give a short talk about her amazing practice. More about Kay HERE – great to have a celebrity onboard!
Why have we picked it?
This is one of my favourite films! Everything about the film is amazing. The story behind the making of the film is amazing. Ron Fricke had a special camera built that combined time-lapse photography with perfectly controlled movements. The images and the message of the film are awe inspiring.
It is also what I call a silent documentary, silent as there is no dialogue, or spoken word. The film is accompanied by an amazing soundtrack… simply a rare great experiment!
